Business Tax Senior Manager
A tax manager specialising in business taxation (Corporation Tax, VAT, etc.) in an eight partner West End boutique practice with a varied and dynamic client base ranging from entrepreneurs through established family businesses to substantial real estate groups including funds.
The tax manager will work as part of the Business Tax team of nine people (including one partner and one director). This is a client facing role which requires a mixture of good technical knowledge, a commercial approach and an ability to work with a wide variety of individuals both inside and outside the practice, often at a senior level. Being in a small but high quality tax team brings a great range of work, and there is ample opportunity to develop as a rounded tax practitioner.
The role includes taking ownership of client relationships alongside the partner and director, having day to day management of routine work (compliance) and being key to the delivery of advisory projects.
Good oral and written communication skills are essential, as our firm has a reputation for work of a very high standard. We can advise on a wide range of business opportunities with a degree of competence comparable with much larger organisations. We are a training practice, so supporting trainees (ACA, CTA, ATT) in their development and motivating them is key.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified with predominately corporate tax experience and be around three years post qualified.
A interest in real estate tax work and experience in a current or a previous employment would be of benefit.
Market rate, depending upon the experience of the individual. We offer flexible, hybrid working with a mixture of office and home and flexible start and end of the working day. We will also consider candidates looking for a part time permanent role.
