Andrew was born in Westminster and educated at St Andrews, Eastbourne and Harrow before spending a year in France. After taking a Foundation in accountancy he qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Lewis Golden & Co (now LLP), where he remains as a general Partner, specialising in giving general business advice particularly in the Real Estate sector. He takes pride in looking after his clients and giving high quality service. He is interested in people, encouraging and motivating those around him, and is particularly proud of the firm’s successful training record.
Andrew is a member of Court at the Merchant Taylors’ Livery Company in the City of London where he chairs the Audit and the Wine Committees. He also sits on the committees for Admissions and Policy & Finance. He is a governor at Merchant Taylors’ School, where he chairs the Committees covering Finance, Audit & Risk and Investment. He was previously a governor of St John’s School Northwood and The Hall in Hampstead.
He has been an active Trustee of The Dermatitis and Allied Diseases Research Trust since its inception in 1992. This charity, based at the Royal Free Hospital on Hampstead, aims to improve the treatment and care of skin diseases which tend to be a forgotten cause.
Andrew enjoys an occasional game of golf, is a member of Royal St Georges Golf Club and also enjoys the other fine things of life; good food and wine, opera and gardening. With his wonderfully supportive partner, Estelle, he has homes in Central London and the Cotswolds. They have four children.
