Dahlia is a VAT Director in our tax department. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser and has specialised in VAT for over 20 years. Dahlia joined Lewis Golden in April 2020 from a medium sized firm in the city. She deals with a wide range of technical VAT matters for a broad spectrum of client types, in various economic sectors. She has knowledge and experience in most areas of VAT including partial exemption, transfers of going concerns and cross border supplies. Dahlia particularly concentrates on property VAT matters, advising commercial and residential property developers, investors, landlords, contractors and housing associations on various complex VAT issues and helping them avoid costly VAT mistakes.
When Dahlia isn’t pondering on the ‘simple tax..’ (as then Chancellor, Anthony Barber, famously said on the introduction of VAT in 1973) she enjoys socialising with friends, running, chauffeuring her son around, and has recently taken up a new challenge of learning to play golf, with the aim of being able to beat her husband and son…one day!
